Mission
Le Comité Bernard Buffet a pour mission de préserver, promouvoir et transmettre l’œuvre de Bernard Buffet, figure majeure de l’art du XXᵉ siècle.
Le Comité œuvre à la reconnaissance durable de son travail, en France et à l’international, en veillant à l’intégrité de l’œuvre et à la qualité de sa diffusion.
Il soutient la recherche, favorise l’organisation d’expositions, accompagne les institutions culturelles et contribue à une meilleure compréhension de l’héritage artistique de Bernard Buffet, et veille à la clarification et à la protection du corpus de l’artiste.
Dans un esprit d’exigence et de transmission, le Comité s’inscrit dans une démarche de long terme, au service de la mémoire de l’artiste et de la vitalité de son œuvre auprès des générations présentes et futures.
Présentation
Le Comité Bernard Buffet est un fonds de dotation dédié à l’étude, à la conservation et à la valorisation de l’œuvre de Bernard Buffet.
Il rassemble les ayants droit de l’artiste ainsi que des professionnels du monde de l’art et de la culture, unis par une même volonté : garantir une approche sérieuse, documentée et rigoureuse de son œuvre.
Le Comité agit en lien étroit avec les institutions, musées, fondations, chercheurs et collectionneurs, en France comme à l’international.
Il accompagne notamment des projets d’expositions, de prêts d’œuvres, de publications et de recherches, et veille à l’examen des œuvres attribuées à l’artiste afin d’en garantir l’authenticité et la cohérence du corpus.
Par son action, le Comité Bernard Buffet entend offrir un cadre de référence clair et exigeant, propice à un dialogue durable autour de l’œuvre et de son rayonnement.
